As some of you may have noticed, I’ve recently joined the CIPR Greater London Group (GLG) Committee. As a relative newbie to the London PR world, having moved to the big smoke just six months ago, I’m keen to connect with London-based practitioners to share and learn from my new peers.
I’m also a firm believer that membership is what you make of it when it comes to industry bodies… And the more you put in, the more you get out. I’ve already had the pleasure of organising a speaker event at Richmond University for students thinking about starting out in PR - with a little help from Marcel Klebba and Matthew Woodhouse - and am looking forward to supporting more events as part of the GLG’s packed 2019 calendar.
I hope to see some you over the next 12 months - in the meantime, here's a little bit of info about the GLG and what we've got coming up in February and March...
About the GLG
The CIPR Greater London Group is the largest single regional or sector group in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and celebrated its 30th birthday in 2013. With 3,000 members, the group is responsible for organising networking and professional development events for London-based communications professionals, ranging from meet-the-media gatherings to debates with some of the industry's foremost thought leaders.
Join us for our first events of 2019, all of which are eligible on the CIPR CPD scheme.
